Love it: sure I’m missing the subtext concerning the 7:30 duration though.

Well, the release is 15 minutes long. The Apollo 11 mission was back in 69 (6+9=15). There you go. — (Sorry, just tried to be funny). There is no deeper meaning behind the tracks having identical runtime. At least in most cases :).

Haha, nice coincidence. Part 1 is my favourite: that metallic sound about half way through. Was just wondering, have you ever done any collaborations with animators? Would be interested to see a visual artists take on this piece.

I’d be very interested in a collaboration. Tell me a bit more about your concept via email and let’s take it from there.

I knew most would be more into part 1. Part 2 is too obvious. We have seen too many space documentaries with radio noise. However, as I commented to Thomas yesterday, the interesting thing for me was to work with re-sampled pieces taken from THE Apollo album by Brian Eno, trying to bring the original event and the original recording together.

I guess I made this release because the Apollo missions were just an enormous event (no matter if faked or not). A few days ago I have talked to a friend who works at ESA and he said “of course they went to the moon”! The Russians would have been the first to unveil the fake if it was a fake. On the other hand, I recently found out that the Russians did not have the technology to observe what’s going on until 1972, which was surprisingly the last year of the Apollo program. Apollo 18-20 were canceled.

Hi Norman:

I bumped on your site because of the tenori-on, and glad I did as your work is really cool. Hope you can expand it as suggested on a visual dimension as well, that will be interesting.

I will take a look around, appreciate the fact you publish this. thanks!

Hi AI, thanks for your kind words. Unfortunately I do not plan to release video material and any further “how to” TO stuff (beside the little workshop I have posted here) but I am happy to answer your question, if you have any. The TO is a beautiful and creative instrument but just one of many different tools I am using to run the “One American Second” project. Enjoy the noise!

This must be Kraftwerk on the Dark Side of the Moon.
I think I am in love, again.

thanking and bowing,
